Starting Round 2 two pairings ahead of the leaders, and 4 strokes behind, Genki Sadato put together a round with five birdies (2, 4, 8, 12 & 15) with three bogeys including the 18th, to post 70 (-2) and and even par total for the event. No players in the final two groups were able to match his total. Overnight leader Desmarchais would finish 2nd, one stroke back.
