2013 One-Day Schedule Released

The Florida State Golf Association has announced the 2013 schedule for the FSGA One-Day events.  Starting February 28, the FSGA One-Day events will travel around the state visiting top courses that include: TPC Sawgrass, Black Diamond, Sailfish Point, Fiddlesticks CC, Innisbrook Resort, Grand Cypress, Reunion, Old Corkscrew, The Ritz-Carlton (Bradenton), Golden Ocala, Sharks Tooth and many more!

There will be over 150 events from February 25 – November 25, for players to test their skills on some of Florida's finest golf courses.  Events take place during the weekdays and all events are shotgun starts. Each event includes golf, use of a motorized cart, range balls, and prizes.  Participants are allowed to create their own foursomes as well.  At all events players will be playing to 100% of their course handicap, unless they select to participate in the gross division.

New for the 2013 season is the addition of a Four-Ball events (two person best ball), and more Stay and Play options set up at Florida’s premiere resorts.

The One-Day events are open to amateur golfers over the age of 18.  Players will be grouped in one of six divisions: Gross, Under 50, 50-64, 65 and Over, Women’s Short and Women’s Long.  

Players are required to have an active FSGA/GHIN handicap of 24.0 for men and 34.0 or less for women.  However, golfers who do not have a FSGA/GHIN handicap index may compete after they obtain a handicap online for $30.  At each event gift certificates will be awarded to the top finishers in each flight.  Players without an established handicap will be eligible to compete, but not for prizes.
