All of us have our Father's Day weekend memories of watching the US Open Championship, and look forward to doing so again this year. What many people do not realize is the path to get to the US Open. In 2014, the FSGA staff and volunteers conducted 16 Local Qualifiers in May, where 1306 players fought for 78 spots into Sectional Qualifying on the #RoadtoPinehurst, as well as the US Open Sectional in June, at Quail Valley Golf Club, in Vero Beach, Fla.

The 2015 US Open Championship heads to the Pacific Northwest for the first time, at Chambers Bay Golf Club, June 18th-21st. Again this year, between May 8th-21st, the FSGA will conduct 16 local qualifiers across the state, beginning with The Club at Admirals Cove, in Jupiter, Fla. on Friday May, 8th and concluding with Old Corkscrew Golf Club, in Estero, Fla., on Thursday, May 21st. The FSGA will also conduct the Sectional Qualifying site at The Bears Club, in Jupiter, Fla. on Monday, June 8th, 2015. Entries will open the week of March 2nd, 2015 and are open to any professional and amateur's with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index below 1.4.
