Isleworth CC Leads Club Team

Isleworth Country Club, in Windermere, shot a team total of 220 on the North course to lead the field of 41 teams. Team members George Roat, Douglas Dvorak, Mark Weston and Peter Williams go into the final round in front by ten strokes. Three teams share second place including the home team of Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club who posted a 230 on the South course. Also shooting a 230, but on the North course, are Rio Pinar Country Club, from Orlando, and Buckhorn Springs Golf and Country Club, in Valrico. Playing the North and South courses, the final round begins at 7:20 am on Sunday, April 30.

A tradition since 1941, the Club Team is open to traditional golf clubs that own their own course and are members of the FSGA. The four team members must each be members of the club and each individual must also be a member of the FSGA.The Championship features 36 holes of stroke play with the total of the low 3 of the 4 gross scores counting in each round.

Organized in 1913, the Florida State Golf Association is a not-for-profit organization that governs amateur golf in the state of Florida. In addition to conducting 22 championships for amateur golfers in the state, the FSGA is responsible for more than 40 qualifying tournaments for USGA National Championships and the Florida Junior Tour.
