Jorden and Feng Prevail in Play-Offs

Kevin Jorden, of Juno Beach, Owen Curry, of Longwood, Tyler Gentilella, of Parkland, and Thomas Stewart, of Saint Augustine were all tied after 36-holes at 145. The players went to the difficult par 3 14th hole to decide the play-off. After the other three players missed their par putts, Jorden made his four foot knee knocker for the victory. Jorden carded a three under par 33 on the back nine to earn his spot in the play-off including a birdie on the 18th hole. This is Jorden’s second victory of the season. Owen Curry, carded rounds of 72-73 for his best finish in a FJT event. Tyler Gentilella, fired rounds of 73-72, also had his best finish in a FJT event with his second place finish. Thomas Stewart tied for the best round of the day with a two-under par 70 to go along with is first round 75. Stewart fired his lowest round of his FJT career with Sunday’s performance.

Yueer Feng, of Orlando, Kristine Odaiyar, of Ocala and Megan VanEtten, of Trinity, were tied after 36-holes at 149. They also went to the difficult par 3 14th hole for a sudden-death playoff. Feng hit her approach shot to inside 10 feet and made her putt for birdie to capture the title on the first play-off hole. This is Feng’s third victory of the season and her 15th career victory for the Florida Junior Tour. Kristine Odaiyar, fired rounds of 74-75, to finish tied for second. In four starts during the season Odaiyar has an impressive 73.1 stroke average. Megan VanEtten fired rounds of 77-72, to also finish tied for second for her best finish in a FJT event.
