Breaking Ties

In case of a tie for any flight winner, the Committee will revert back to the original “head-to-head” match results between the two teams that are tied. The winner of that individual match will be the overall flight winner. In the case that the two teams are still tied after this procedure, the Committee will revert to the next highest seeded team in the flight and compare how each team competed against that team; the highest point total for this individual match is the winner.

Handicap Requirements

The valid Florida GHIN Handicap Indexes used will be from the September 1, 2014 revision.  Each player must have a valid Florida GHIN Handicap Index no higher than 34.0.  The course handicap differential between partners may be no more than eight (8) strokes.  (If the differential is more than eight (8) strokes, the higher course handicap will be reduced to allow for the difference). 100% of each player's handicap will be used.

Defending Champions

The Women's Round Robin Match Play Championship was concluded on Sunday at Mission Valley Country Club in Nokomis, Florida.  Three teams fought through the tough competition and clenched their flight titles.

Beth Sholar, of Tierra Verde, and Christine Martin, of Palm Harbor, headed into their final match of the Championship against Diane Armet of West Palm Beach, and Joyce Martin of Boca Raton. The Daisy Flight (Middle Division 2) title was won by the team of Kerstin Koenig of Naples, and Jennie Taylor of Naples, with a total of 31 points.  Colette Charpentier, of Cape Coral, and Bettina Dittrich, of Cape Coral, finished in second with a total of 30 points. The Rose Flight (Forward Division) title was won with the widest point difference of the championship.  Leading during most of the championship, Kimberly Byle, of Dunedin, and Deborah Larkin, of Clearwater, were victorious in the Rose Flight (Forward Division).
