What is involved in
switching from my current handicap service to GHIN?
We retrieve a copy of your current player roster and their
scores either on paper or electronically from your current
handicap system software. At that time, your players must
discontinue posting scores to your current handicap
provider. Within a few days, all of your data and player
records will be converted to GHIN handicaps and a GHIN
representative will make an appointment to come to the club
and install the new equipment for you. The entire process is
hassle free for the club, players and staff.
Does the FSGA really
provide all the hardware and software for FREE?
The GHIN service includes all the hardware and software
necessary to run the programs. The FSGA provides clubs with
a Dell computer and a touch-screen monitor that serves as a
score posting station in the club. Larger clubs may be
eligible for multiple posting stations.
Aside from the
per-member charges, are there any other costs?
No! There are no recurring license fees, annual charges or
any other costs associated with the GHIN service.
How does the FSGA bill
clubs for the GHIN Service?
The GHIN service is competitively priced and is billed to
clubs on a per-member basis. The GHIN service is billed
three times per year in February, June and November. The
first bill will be for all members on the service after the
January deletion deadline. The second bill will be for any
members you added to the service since the first billing.
The third bill will be for any members you added to the
service since the second billing, and these members will
only be charged half-price for the second half of the year.
