The USGA Handicap System Licensing Program for Clubs is a requirement for all clubs wishing to utilize the USGA Handicap System. All clubs must become licensed by July 1, 2011. To be licensed, a representative or club member must be certified by attending a FSGA Handicap Seminar.

Seminar overview:

  • 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • $20 per person
  • Designed for: Handicap Committee members, Golf Professional, & interested golfers
  • Certification good until 2008
  • 20 question, multiple choice, open book test
  • Certification requires a passing grade of 70%

Seminar includes:

  • Handicap manual & materials
  • Handicap overview
  • Course rating primer
  • Handicap Committee duties & responsibilities
  • Handicapping of the holes procedure
  • Certified Instructors
  • PGA Professionals receive 4 MSR credits
