DESCRIPTION
The mission of Hook A Kid On Golf is to provide communities with a comprehensive youth golf program that eliminates the obstacles that discourage youngsters from learning and continuing to play golf while instilling in them an understanding of golf's rules, etiquette and history. Hook A Kid On Golf is a national golf skill development program that gives youngsters, who normally would not have the opportunity, a complete introduction to the sport of golf without any of the cost that are associated with the sport.

With the support from the United States Golf Association, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, PGA Tour, PGA of America, the National Golf Foundation and the LPGA, the program covers all aspects of the sport from rules and etiquette to course maintenance plus drug awareness and prevention talks. Each youngster that qualifies to participate in Hook A Kid On Golf is sponsored through contributions which are solicited from the local community.
