Over
the years I’ve observed many touring professionals here
at Lake Nona practicing this drill when working on half
shots. The drill stops overuse of the hands, forces you
to rotate your body and overcomes excessive hand and arm
use during the shot.
Place headcovers or towels under both arms. Keep them in
place as you make a waist-high backswing to a waist-high
follow through. Feel your hips pivoting with the
rotation of the body. Pay particular attention to the
follow through as your feet should be active. At the
finish of this small swing, the weight should be on the
left leg. The left leg should be firm and the right heel
off the ground.
