Swing Tempo
By Lance Reaves, Head Golf Professional, Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando- site of the 2007 Public Links Championship & Junior Match Play Championship

Do you ever find yourself rushing to the tee and trying to find some way to get that perfect tempo right so you can hit that nice tight ball right down the middle?

If you only have time to hit a couple of balls on the range, see if this will help you. Start by hitting about ten pitching wedge shots one right after the other with nice smooth swings at about 75 percent. Then, take your driver out and with the same swing as your pitching wedge hit about five shots. This will help you not to swing out of your shoes on the first tee.

Remember, slower tempo helps you to release the club much easier.
