The USGA invites you to
a USGA Green Section Educational Workshop. There will be four meetings in Florida the
week of April 2nd.
Quail Ridge Country Club,
Boynton Beach, Monday, April 2nd, 1:00
p.m. till 5:00 p.m.
Grey Oaks Country Club, Naples, Tuesday, April 3rd, 8:30
a.m. till 12:30 p.m.
Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club, Tampa, Wednesday, April
4th, 8:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m.
San Jose Country Club, Jacksonville, Thursday, April
5th, 8:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m.
The focus of the program is to answer the most
frequently asked questions we hear from golfers
regarding their golf course. “Why aren’t the greens
faster?” “Why is that tree being cut down?” “Why
overseed?” “Why are neighboring courses in better shape
than ours?” Without being overly technical or
scientific, our goal is to provide factual information
on a level that all members can understand.
The program speakers will be Bob Vavrek, Senior
Agronomist, USGA Green Section, Todd Lowe, USGA
Agronomist, and myself. With nearly 50 years of combined
experience with the USGA, we will share knowledge gained
from our travels throughout Florida and across the
country.
We hope you will speak to the Green and Golf Committee
Members, Board of Directors, General Managers, Golf
Professionals and Superintendents of your club and
encourage as many people to attend as possible.
Registration deadline is Friday, March 30th, so please
fill out the enclosed form for the appropriate site and RSVP (total number in
your party) by phone to (772) 546-2620, fax (772)
546-4653, or e-mail sfoy@usga.org. |
