Which Set of Tees is Right for You?
By Tim Miller, Head Golf Professional at Wyndemere Country Club in Naples - host to a Florida Junior Tour event

Are you playing the right set of tees to maximize your enjoyment of the game of golf? If you are not reaching many of the holes in regulation, (one shot on par 3’s, two shots on par 4’s, etc.) maybe you should try a few rounds from the next set of forward tees. As an example, though I play much of my summer tournament golf from the back tees at many courses, I often times play our Member Tees during the winter when my game is not as sharp.

A recent article did a nice job of explaining tee selection. “You should play the course from the tee markers that give you the most enjoyment. Many courses have as many as five sets of tees. The game will be more fun if you swallow your pride and move to the markers that give you a more realistic chance to reach the greens in regulation.”
