Florida Golfers One Step Closer to Bob Hope Chrysler Classic

Top - Tim Hume, Bottom - Marci Zweifel

Four men and four women advanced from the Florida Regional Chrysler Club Championship to play at the Ritz-Carlton Resort during the Merrill Lynch Shootout in December. The best man and woman from the Ritz-Carlton will then have the opportunity to play with professional golfers and celebrities at the 2009 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.

On Saturday, October 11, Club Champions from across the state competed in 18 holes of stroke play at Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee for the opportunity to advance to the Merrill Lynch Shootout. The following men and women will be playing for the chance to play in Palm Springs next year.

Tim Hume, Tampa –66 - Qualified
Patrick McCabe, Jupiter –67 - Qualified
Pete Williams, Juno Beach –70 - Qualified
Richard Granger, Vero Beach –71 - Qualified

Ladies
Marci Zweifel, Orlando –70 - Qualified
Susan Temple, Vero Beach, FL –76 - Qualified
Arlene McKitrick, Longboat Key –77 - Qualified
Mindy Smith, Tampa –81 – Qualified

The Florida State Golf Association (FSGA) is pleased to partner with Chrysler and the Golf Digest Companies to host the Regional Chrysler Club Championship in the state to benefit the American Junior Golf Association.
