Vicky
Hurst, of Melbourne, a Florida Junior Tour (FJT) member
from 2004-2007, has earned her LPGA membership by finishing
first on the Duramed Futures Tour money list.
Hurst, the 2005 FJT Girls 16-18 Points Champion and Junior
Player-of-the-Year, finished on top of the Tour’s season
money list with record single-season earnings of $93,107 in
her rookie year, winning four tournaments of the 13 events
she entered.
During her FJT career, Vicky had six FJT victories and an
impressive resume that included competing in two U.S.
Women’s Open Championships (2006, 2007), advancing to the
round of 16 at the 2007 U.S. Women’s Amateur, was the top
ranked female junior golfer in the country, and was featured
on the cover of GolfWeek prior to her Duramed Futures Tour
debut. Hurst turned professional in 2008, four months before
graduating from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.
Vicky Hurst is the first member of the FJT to earn full-time
playing privileges on the PGA or LPGA tour.
