The 3rd Annual Paula
Creamer Celebrity Classic will be held on the weekend of
January 9, 10, and 11th at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country
Club. Hosted by the LPGA star and The First Tee of
Sarasota / Manatee supporter, this year’s lineup of
events will give plenty of opportunities to walk the
fairways with the stars.

said Mark W. Leetzow, the President of The First Tee
Sarasota/Manatee. “Leadership like that of Paula Creamer
has inspired others to embrace the mission of The First
Tee.”
The activities for the weekend at the beautiful Lakewood
Ranch Golf and Country Club kick off with the Gala
Welcome Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday evening in
the elegant Grand Ballroom. Saturday’s agenda begins
with a clinic hosted by Paula and friends, entertainment
with the talented Brad Denton performing amazing trick
shots along with his comedy and impersonations, a
celebrity skills challenge with “Beat the Bogey Man” Dr.
Travis Fox, of PBS and The Golf Channel, wrapping up
with a shoot-out between the professionals and
celebrities on the picturesque King’s Dunes course.
Other activities include youth and tennis clinics. The
weekend wraps up with a Pro-Am Golf Tournament on Sunday
followed by an awards luncheon.

influence our future members but more importantly The
First Tee provides an opportunity to impact the lives of
young people in a positive way and teach them core
values which will help them far beyond golf for the rest
of their lives” said Scott Lamoureaux, Director of Golf
for Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club and Board
Member for First Tee Sarasota/Manatee. “We are pleased
to be hosting an event of this caliber for the 2nd
time.”
Area amateur golfers are welcome to register for the
Paula Creamer Classic Golf Pro-Am Tournament taking
place on January 11 with registration at 8 a.m. and cost
of $200 per player or $750 for a team of four. The
3-hour tennis clinic will also take place on the same
day and cost $125. The golf and tennis events include a
luncheon at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.
There will be an entrance fee of $25 for spectators to
the clinic and shoot-out on Saturday. Children under 18
are FREE when accompanied by an adult. On Saturday
January 10 from 11:00 to 2:00 there will be an exciting
area set up for children (ages 3 to 12) that will
include golf and tennis related games where they can
have fun, test their skills, and win prizes, along with
making crafts, face painting, and more.

There are a limited number of tickets available to the
Private Dinner Reception and Auction on Friday evening
$200. This event, to be held at the Lakewood Ranch Golf
& Country Club, will include a VIP Reception where
guests will have the opportunity to meet Paula Creamer
and The First Tee of Sarasota/Manatee Board of
Directors, cocktail hour, dinner and a silent auction
with some great one “of a kind” items. Come learn more
about the remarkable commitment Paula Creamer has made
to our local First Tee participants.
There are also a number of different sponsorships
available for the event. There are a limited number of
Vendor Exhibit Booths that will be available to market
your products and services on the range during the Golf
Fest/Exhibit that will take place from $500. Sponsorship

The First Tee of
Sarasota/Manatee was formed in 2000 and serves over 1600
youth from both counties. Their mission is: To impact
the lives of young people by providing learning
facilities and educational programs that promote
character development and life-enhancing values through
the game of golf.
