The 3rd Annual Paula Creamer Celebrity Classic will be held on the weekend of January 9, 10, and 11th at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club. Hosted by the LPGA star and The First Tee of Sarasota / Manatee supporter, this year’s lineup of events will give plenty of opportunities to walk the fairways with the stars.

“A fundamental strength of The First Tee is the direct support it receives from some of the games most respected and influential individuals and organizations” said Mark W. Leetzow, the President of The First Tee Sarasota/Manatee. “Leadership like that of Paula Creamer has inspired others to embrace the mission of The First Tee.”

The activities for the weekend at the beautiful Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club kick off with the Gala Welcome Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday evening in the elegant Grand Ballroom. Saturday’s agenda begins with a clinic hosted by Paula and friends, entertainment with the talented Brad Denton performing amazing trick shots along with his comedy and impersonations, a celebrity skills challenge with “Beat the Bogey Man” Dr. Travis Fox, of PBS and The Golf Channel, wrapping up with a shoot-out between the professionals and celebrities on the picturesque King’s Dunes course. Other activities include youth and tennis clinics. The weekend wraps up with a Pro-Am Golf Tournament on Sunday followed by an awards luncheon.

“This event will help grow the game of golf and influence our future members but more importantly The First Tee provides an opportunity to impact the lives of young people in a positive way and teach them core values which will help them far beyond golf for the rest of their lives” said Scott Lamoureaux, Director of Golf for Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club and Board Member for First Tee Sarasota/Manatee. “We are pleased to be hosting an event of this caliber for the 2nd time.”
