Point Quotas
-
Initial Quota
- A player’s initial point quota will be determined
by subtracting the player’s handicap index from 36
and rounding to the nearest whole number.
Example: An 8-handicap player would have a first
event quota of 28 points (36-8). If that player
earned 32 points, he would be +4 on the day. Quotas
for first time players with no handicap index will
be calculated by committee formula.
-
Adjustments to Quotas
- Quota points are adjusted each time you play based
on your previous round in the Point’s Game

If you fail to
reach your quota points – your quota for the
next event will be reduced by 50% of the amount
of points that you were short in reaching your
quota. A maximum reduction of 2 points will be
allowed per event.
-
If you exceed your
quota – your quota for the next event will be
increased by 50% of the excess points you
achieved in the current event. There is no
limit to the adjustments that increase a
player’s quota.

Weather-Shortened
Events
When weather causes a
round to be shortened, the FSGA will do what is fair to
determine who wins prizes and how quota allocations may
be adjusted for the next event. Entry fees will
generally not be refunded, but if only a few holes are
played, we will work with the club to get the players a
rain check or another option.
