We serve kids profiled by the State of Florida as being developmentally disabled. Our program offers a way to build skills needed as they mature and face decisions regarding continued education, jobs or careers. We serve kids from the ages of 6 through 18.

We presently offer a golf program that is broken into four components. The Practice Tee, The Front Nine, Making the Turn, and The Back Nine. This allows us to measure the student’s progress in a more accurate manner. The Director of Golf and a group of volunteers teach fundamentals of the game as well as rules and etiquette. In addition, the children are taught social and personal skills such as self–control, problem solving, decision–making, motivation and organization.

Portions of the programs are taught in a classroom environment that allows the students to express with peers and instructors the knowledge they have gained through activities and instruction they have participated in.

Classes are held every Saturday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Golf Grove Practice & Learning Center, 1006 E. Bearss Avenue, Lutz Florida 33549.

The Caring and Sharing Center for Independent Living (CASCIL) performs interactive workshops with our students. The workshops cover self – esteem, self – advocacy, and socialization skills. These classes are held three times per ten-week session as an extension to our rules & etiquette class. CASCIL will also schedule workshops for the parents on specific topics they request.
