  • Sunday - Twenty-Five minute delay due to fog, followed by low-90's with little to no wind

Boys' Division

For Tommy Nguyen the wait was well worth it. After enduring lengthy delays for both rain and fog, Nguyen came out firing with birdies on holes 10,13, 14, 15, and 17 to turn in 5 under-par 31. Bogeys at 2 and 7 slowed the momentum, but Nguyen would rally with a closing birdie on 9 to shoot 68 (-4). The round was the best by two and secured Nguyen's first FJT title! Local favorite Robin Wang would finish second after recording a 2 under-par 70 while Tyler Carlson would go on to finish third at 1 under-par 71.

Girls' Division

After the fog cleared on Sunday morning, three players separated themselves from the field. Paired together, Emily Felix and Jenny Kim would shoot matching rounds of 1 under-par 71. Kim was in front for most of the day but struggled coming in while Felix finished with a flurry, birdieing her last four holes. A playoff seemed immanent until Jillian Bourdage would post a 2 under-par 70. Bourdage, of Lake Mary, made four birdies and two bogeys en route to the victory. The win marks Jillian's second Florida Junior Tour title and her first of 2017.
