Due to some very helpful feedback that we have received from women golfers from all around the state, significant changes are being made to the women’s format in all future One-Day events.
Effective beginning with the One-Day to be held on Monday, August 13th at LaGorce Country Club, all future One-Day Events will feature the following format for women:

Women will have the option of playing from one of two different tee lengths:

“Shorter Flight” at 5,200 yards or,

“Longer Flight” at 5,700 yards. (Yardages are approximate)

Players in each flight will only compete against one another. (Those playing from the “shorter” tees will not be competing against those playing the “longer” tees).

Both flights will compete for gift certificates on both a gross and net basis

Players can only win one prize per event

Each entry represents $10 for the gift certificate purse

Approximate prize distribution – 60% Net, 40% gross

Players may still pick their own group or playing companions in advance

Players playing from different tees may certainly play in the same group
When you enter a One-Day Event, be sure to answer the question on the online form that asks ‘Would you like to play from the ‘shorter’ or ‘longer’ tees?’
