Moman, Zhu, & Parsons Win at Temple Terrace

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – Madison Moman, Andre Zhu, & Luke Parsons captured Florida Junior Tour wins at Temple Terrace G & CC.  This was the first Florida Junior Tour win for all three players.

Andre Zhu tied an 11-12 year old record on Sunday with a 66 on his way to capturing his win on Sunday.   Heading into Sunday's round Zhu shared the lead with Victor Herrera after both posted Saturday 69's.  The Richmond Hill, Can., native started off the final round hot, firing four birdies on the front nine and then followed it up with a solid 2-under 34 on the back to get him to 9-under for the weekend and secure his victory.  Runner-up Victor Herrera posted two good scores with 69-72-141 and had 10 birdies over the weekend that contributed to his second place finish.  Nicolas Bencomo played two good under-par rounds to secure third place at 2-under par.

Girls 11-12

Madison Moman, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., captured the win on Sunday at 2 over par.  Moman played an even par round on Saturday that included 5 birdies and gave her a three shot edge heading into Sunday's round.  On Sunday, Moman fired a 74, which again was the low score in her division and secured her a four-shot victory.  Elan Zhang finished runner-up after shooting two rounds of 75.  Zhang, an Orlando native, birdied 18 to secure her solo second place finish.  Remi Bacardi took home third place with scores of 76-75-151.

Boys 9-10

Luke Parsons, of Salley, SC., secured a victory on Sunday after posting 73 both Saturday and Sunday.  Parsons played consistent golf all weekend and it helped him capture his first tour win.  After holding a two shot lead heading into Sunday's round,  Parsons played an even par front nine, followed by a solid 37 on the back to secure a five-shot win.  Runner-up Graden Lomax fired a final round 73 which was tied for the low of the day.  His weekend consisted of four birdies.  Joshua Castellanos finished third in division after his 74 on Sunday.
