Debra Goes Wire-to-Wire to Win Forty & Over

TAMPA, Fla. Daniel Debra went wire-to-wire to capture the Forty & Over Championship on Sunday. The Lutz native carded an 8-under 208 to raise the trophy Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club.

Beginning the final round with a five-shot lead over the field, Debra finished the front nine at 2-over, carding two bogeys. He posted three birdies on the back nine to finish the day with an even-par 72 and secure the two-shot victory.

Debra used rounds of 68-68-72 to win his third FSGA championship and his first since the 2018 Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship.

Joe Alfieri fired a final-round 67 to take home a second-place finish. The 2019 champion began the day with three birdies and a bogey on the front nine. Alfieri posted a bogey-free back nine, adding three birdies to finish the championship at 6-under 210. His final-round 67 was the low round of the championship.

Alfieri and Debra were the only two players in the field to post three rounds at even-par or better.

Miles McConnell finished the weekend in third place at 2-under 214, with a final-round 71. Sam Hogan and Steve Albright tied for fourth place at even-par 216, while three players were tied for sixth.
