BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – After multiple weather delays in the final round, Yuze Zhang fired the low round of the tournament to take home the victory at Fountains Country Club on Wednesday. This is Zhang’s second Florida Junior win and his first in the 16-18 Division.

After Tuesday’s second round, Zhang sat in sixth place at 1-under 143, three shots back of the leaders. The Windermere resident began the final round by birding two of his first five holes of the day.

Zhang added back-to-back birdies to close out the front nine and make the turn at 4-under. He kept it rolling on the back nine, birding two of the first three holes to start the back.

The final suspension of the tournament came with the last two groups on the 18th green, as Zhang had putt to secure the win. He used a par on the final hole to card a bogey-free 66 in the final round and capture two-shot victory at 7-under 209.

Brian Park and Jackson Kustin finished tied for second-place finish at 5-under 211. Park posted a 3-under 69 in the final round, carding three birdies on the back nine to finish the day bogey-free. Kustin, who began the day with a one-shot lead, finished the tournament with a 1-under 71. He was the only player in the field to three under-par rounds (70-70-71).

Andrew McLauchlan took home a fourth palce at 3-under 213, carding a final-round 72.
