The FSGA Men's Interclub regular season has ended and the playoffs are set to begin this week. 32 teams from across the state have punched their tickets to the first round of the playoffs including past champions Wentworth Country Club in Tarpon Springs (2011) and LaCita G & CC in Titusville (2008, 2010).
108 clubs from 8 regions participated in the FSGA Men's Interclub matches this year, which is in its 7th year of existence. Each team played six regular season matches throughout January and February against three clubs in their area. Matches utilize individual and four-ball net match play formats for 8 players from each club to determine the match winner. Playoff matches begin this Thursday as each team plays home and away matches over the next two weeks to determine who advances to the next round. After one more round of home and away matches, 8 teams (one from each region) will advance to the state championship at Lake Jovita G & CC in Dade City on March 27th & 28th.
