Boys' Division

Andrew Davis - 1 over-par, 72

Andrew Davis, from Fleming Island, got into the field as an alternate this weekend. In his first Florida Junior Tour event of his career, Andrew did not wait long to "wow" the spectators. On the par-5, 3rd hole, Andrew laced a 5-wood from approximately 180 yards within a few feet of the hole. After rolling in the putt for an eagle, Andrew continued to play impressive golf for the rest of the round. Birdies on the 8th and 13th holes helped him on his way to a 1 over-par, 72 and a three stroke victory over Alex Ogle and three time FJT winner Ariihau Faana.

Girls' Division

Addison Klonowski - 4 over-par, 75

Addison Klonowski, from Naples, has posted very impressive rounds in all of her FJT events this season including a second place finish at Amelia Island Plantation back in March. Heading into the final hole on Sunday, Addison held a one stroke lead over fellow-competitor, Kaitlyn Schroeder. Kaitlyn hit an incredible approach shot to about 10 feet on the 18th hole and rolled in her birdie putt to force a playoff with Addison after posting rounds of 4 over-par, 75. The two players headed to the par-5, 1st hole to begin the playoff. After both players parred the opening playoff hole, they moved on to the difficult par-4, 2nd. Addison went on to make a bogey which was enough for her first FJT victory!

The challenging par 71 course is tree lined with several small ponds and a creek that winds through the property. Five FJT Standards

Competing at beautiful clubs around the state is a privilege and it is important for all of our players and parents to place value on the following five duties:

  • Say please and thank you to the club staff and our volunteers
  • Rake bunkers
  • Fix ball marks
  • Step on/repair your divots
  • Throw away your garbage! There should never be trash on the ground anywhere on the course (place trash in waste receptacles, golf carts or even your bag if no other place is available).

Showing Appreciation and Proper Manners - At all courses where juniors play, they should show appreciation to the members and staff. To all of our junior players, let's show the clubs that you are not only the most talented golfers in the country, but also the most respectful. A "thank you" to the club and taking care of the course are the best ways to make a positive impression on the club, fellow players, coaches and spectators.

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the tournament on a space-available basis. Tee times are only available after 12:00 noon the weekend prior. The price for a practice round is $25.00 + tax. Please call 407-656-4882 to arrange your practice round.

Always remember, the proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range. Hitting multiple shots on the course, not filling divots, and not repairing ball marks are unacceptable and may cause removal from the tournament without a refund.

Players are not allowed to drive golf carts (must be 18 years old to drive a cart).
