DeLand -  Although Victoria Hills played a tough host to the boys 16-18 division, a few players were able to shoot under par and ultimately find their way to the winners circle.
Carson Bacha, of Sorrento, began the event shooting a 2-over par 74 that saw him five shots back of round one leader John DuBois, of Windermere. Dubois is no stranger to holding an overnight lead. So far this year DuBois has shot under par in the first round of every  FJT event he has played in. With a first round scoring average of 69.5, its easy to see why he is a regular at the top of the leader board after day one. Caleb Davern, of Grove City, OH, sat in solo second and one shot back of DuBois after round one. Davern would go on to shoot a final round 78, finishing one shot out of a T-2 result. Davis Lee, of Ponte Vedra Beach, remained consistent all weekend shooting 75-72 to finish T-2, his best finish of the 2018 season.
Carson Bacha would come from behind on Sunday and fire the low round of the day to win by three strokes. In tough playing conditions Bacha consistently found fairways and greens and navigated his way to an under par round that would ultimately give him the victory over DuBois and Lee. This was Bacha's first FJT event of the year, although it assuredly will not be his last.

The next FJT event will be played at Capital City CC March 17-18. Read more about that event here.
