Seven Birdies Propel Williams into the Lead
WEST PALM BEACH – Amateur Pete Williams, of Juno Beach, is at the top of the leader board entering the final round of The Florida Senior Open at Bears Lake Country Club.
Williams’ impressive tournament performance of eight-under-par gives him a three shot lead over Gene Fieger, of Naples, and Chris Campbell, of Vero Beach, who are both tied for second at five-under par. Williams consistent play on The Links Course during day two consisted of ten pars, seven birdies, and a lone bogey on hole number ten.
