Quotable

“It's kind of an odd situation with six months inbetween, but I remember I played decent the first round and was hoping to build on that. It's seems like a two-round tournament this way. I was little shaky starting out and it was pretty windy, but I got it going and started to hit some good shots. I'm happy to be in a good position for tomorrow.” – Miles McConnell on his second round

“I was ready and looking forward to it after a sixth-month delay. I've been practicing a little the last few weeks and it worked well today, so I'm excited for the final round tomorrow.” –  Daniel Owen on his expectations coming back to the Senior Amateur

“I'm happy to be playing again. I've spent most of the summer watch golf, so it's nice to be back out there playing my own ball again. I think I'll have to play a pretty good round tomorrow, because Miles is going to make it tough.” – Mike McCoy on his second-round 70
