Celano and Lippetz Win at Sara Bay

Ryan Celano, of Naples, started the event with a three-under par 69 to be alone in second place trailing first round leader, Domenico Geminiani, from Bradenton by one stroke. In the final round, Celano’s putter was hot on the front nine posting a three under par 33, making one bogey and four birdies. Celano struggled on the back nine posting a 41 for a final round of 2 over par 74 and a tournament total of one under par 143. Geminiani fired a first round four under par 68 which included seven birdies, and carded a 75 in the final round for a tournament total of one under par 143. Celano and Geminiani would go to a sudden death playoff. Celano prevailed by birding the second play-off hole after sticking his 6-iron to 10 feet and draining the putt. This is Celano’s first FJT victory. Sawyer Shaw, of West Palm Beach, finished alone in third place with a tournament total of even par 144, which included a final round one under par 71.

In the Girls Division Jordan Lippetz, of Bradenton, went wire-to-wire for her first FJT victory. Lippetz played consistent in the final round recording a two over par 74 for a 150 tournament total and a five shot victory. There was a three-way tie for second place which included, Madison Lellyo, of Windermere, Stephanie Liu, of Bradenton, and Alexandra Pappell, of Boca Raton who all posted a tournament total of 155.
