TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

1.      FORMAT: 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. We will re-pair and flight after the first round.

2.      COURSE SET- UP:  The golf course will be set-up approximately 6600-6700 yards.

3.      REGISTRATION TABLE: There will be a registration table set up in front of the pro shop. All contestants are requested to check in.

4.      GPS AND RANGE FINDERS ALLOWED: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.”

5.      PRATICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available one week prior to the championship.  Practice rounds may be played after 12:00 PM on the weekend.  The price for your practice round is $30.00 tax.  Please call (352) 277-5000 to arrange your practice round

6.      CADDIE & SPECTATORS: Spectators and caddies are always welcome at FSGA Championships. Only players are allowed to ride in carts.  If a player employs a caddie, the caddie MUST walk and the player’s clubs must remain on the golf cart.

7.     PAYMENT:  Southern Hills Plantation will accept cash, Visa/Mastercard or American Express for method of payment.

8.      SCORING FOR FOUR-BALL STROKE PLAY:  The marker is required to record for each hole only the score of whichever partner’s score is to count.  The score to count must be individually identifiable; otherwise the side shall be disqualified.  Only one of the partners need be responsible for complying with Rule 6-6b.

The Suncoast Parkway gives you fast access to Tampa – and a quick retreat when it’s time to leave the city behind. Southern Hills is located approximately three miles south of downtown Brooksville on US 41 (Broad Street). Brooksville has convenient access from two freeway systems, I-75 and the Suncoast Parkway. I-75 offers easy connections to all of Florida’s major attractions.

From Tampa: Go north on Suncoast Parkway. Take Exit 41 (Spring Hill Dr.) and turn right, heading east. Take Spring Hill Dr. and turn left on US 41N. Southern Hills Plantation Club is on the right, just past Powell Rd.

From I-75: Take the Brooksville exit (#301) and travel west on Highway 50/98. Follow the Highway 50/98 cutoff to US 41 South (Broad Street).
