TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

 

  1. FORMAT: 36 holes of stroke play. Maximum of three players per team. Total of the low two scores per round of the three gross scores for each team will count.

 

  1. CADDIES: All players must walk and caddies are not authorized.

 

  1. AGE DIVISIONS: Boys Ages 16-18, Boys Ages 13-15, Girls Ages 16-18, and Girls Ages 13-15

 

  1. COURSE LENGTH:  Two courses will be utilized: (Players will play the same course both days.)

ü      16-18 Divisions will play the Eagle Pines Course

ü      13-15 Divisions will play the Palm Course.

ü      Boys (16-18) will play approximately 6700 yards

ü      Girls (16-18) will play approximately 5700 yards

ü      Boys (13-15) will play approximately 6500 yards

ü      Girls (13-15) will play approximately 5300 yards

 

  1. ACCOMMODATIONS:  Arrangements have been made at the Sheraton Safari Hotel for $89.00 per night. Call (407) 239-0444 and identify yourself as a FSGA Junior Team competitor for reservations.  Reservations made after June 8th will be provided on a space available basis.

 

  1. REGISTRATION:  There will be a registration table located outside the pro shop at each golf course. 

 

7.       PRACTICE ROUNDS:  Practice rounds will be on July 8th after 9:00 AM on both courses. Each team will be allowed one practice round tee time and any players from that team wishing to play a practice round must play at that scheduled time. To complete a foursome, coaches/assistant coaches may play with their three team members. Parents are not allowed to play. Cost is $20 plus tax per person and all junior players MUST walk.   To schedule your practice round call Michael Steigerwalt at (407) 938-3440. 

 

8.       COACHES & ASSISTANT COACHES:  Each junior program is allowed ONE Head Coach, and the Head Coach may assign one Assistant Coach to each of their teams. Only one coach is allowed per team and only that coach may give advice after the completion of a hole and before the start the next hole. Each Head Coach and Assistant Coaches must register themselves as such at the registration table to receive their appropriate cart sign.

 

  1. COACHES/SPECTATOR CARTS:  Each junior program will receive one coach’s cart free of charge for each day of competition to be used by the Head Coach. Assistant Coaches may rent additional carts for $15 plus tax during the competition rounds. Spectators may rent a cart for $15 plus tax each day and are not authorized to ride in a coach’s cart. These carts will be used to assist in evacuation of players if required.

 

  1. TEAM PICTURES:  Team pictures will be taken on day one. Head Coaches will be notified of their teams’ assigned picture times. All three team members need to be present. 

 

  1. REMINDER – DRESS CODE:  All players, coaches and spectators must wear a collared shirt while on the golf course or in the clubhouse. No denim allowed. Also, male contestants should not wear hats inside the clubhouse.
