Two Year Points List
Team Determination
The FSGA Championship Committee will select players for Women Player of the Year Awards (Junior, Amateur and Senior) and players for team competitions. The Committee will consider all factors including standings on points lists (Championship Points List, Two Year Points List and Florida Junior Tour Points List) and player’s success in FSGA, USGA and other select Championships of similar status. The Women's Amateur Player of the Year Award may be a player of any age.
USGA Women's State Team Championship
The FSGA selects a three player team to represent Florida in this biannual competition. The team selections will include:
- The current Women's Amateur Champion
- One player with the highest point total from the Two Year Points List as of August 20, 2013
(due to major changes to the Points System between 2011 and 2012, the Championship Committee will use the 2011 and 2012 player rankings to help select the second player on the team) - One player selected by the FSGA Championship Committee
Eligibility - Under NCAA guidelines, collegiate players may not compete in the State Team Championship or risk the loss of their NCAA eligibility, however, junior players are eligible. Any designated selections which are not filled due to ineligibility or other reason will be selected by the FSGA Championships Committee.
Women's Southeastern Challenge Match
The FSGA selects a twelve player team to represent Florida in this biannual competition against Georgia and Alabama consisting of four (4) Women Senior Amateurs (50 and older) and eight (8) other women of which no more than two (2) junior players of age 17 and under. Next Women's Southeastern Challenge Match will be hosted by Georgia in 2014. The team selections includes:
- (2) Women Senior players with the highest point totals from the Women's Senior Two Year Points List
(due to major changes to the Points System between 2011 and 2012, the Championship Committee will use the 2011 and 2012 player rankings to help select the second player on the team) - (2) Women Senior player selected by the FSGA Championship Committee
- (3) Women players with the highest point totals from the Women Two Year Points List
(due to major changes to the Points System between 2011 and 2012, the Championship Committee will use the 2011 and 2012 player rankings to help select the second player on the team) - (5) Women players selected by the FSGA Championship Committee
Women's Florida Cup Matches
The FSGA selects two twelve player teams to represent the North and the South of Florida in this biannual competition. Each team’s selections includes:
- (2) Senior players with the highest point totals from the Women's Senior Two-Year Player of the Year Points List as of September 9, 2013
- (5) Amateur players with the highest point totals from the Women's Two-Year Amateur Player of the Year Points List as of September 9, 2013
- (2) Senior players selected by the FSGA Championship Committee
- (3) Amateur players selected by the FSGA Championship Committee
Any designated selections which are not filled due to ineligibility or other reason will be selected by the FSGA Championships Committee.
SWATCA Team Matches
The FSGA selects eight players to represent Florida in the annual SWATCA competition. Each team’s selections includes:
- (3) Women Amateur players with the highest point totals from the 2013 Women's Player of the Year Points List as of August 4th, 2013
- (6) Women Amateur players selected by the FSGA Championship Committee
*Each day, one player will be designated as an alternate. No player will be designated as the alternate more than once. Alternate is chosen by the Captain.
Any designated selections which are not filled due to ineligibility or other reason will be selected by the FSGA Championships Committee. Players will be chosen and invited by the Championship Committee with selection criteria to include, but not be limited to, the FSGA Player of the Year points list standings as of August 6th, 2012 after the FSGA Women’s Four-Ball Stroke Play Championship.
