LADY LAKE, Fla. – It was an eventful weekend to say the least, as mother nature kept us on our toes. Saturday was filled with storms, which meant a few groups were unable to finish their first round on Saturday. Luckily Sunday's weather cooperated a little bit more, as we had a beautiful day for golf, and allowed us to finish the 36 hole event as planned.
Boys (16-18)
The first round brought fireworks as we saw 10 players under par, and our Boys' Champion card six birdies on his way to a -3 finish over course of the the two day event. He claimed the title by way of a playoff with William Huang, who posted an eagle on the sixth hole of Saturday's round. Huang was one of five players to card an eagle this weekend at Harbor Hills, with Cameron Baez, Chase McBride, Gavin Duffy, and Grady Logan also making eagles on Saturday.
Carrington, who teed off in the first group of the day off of hole 1, stormed up the leaderboard on Sunday after hanging three strokes back of Huang's strong Saturday lead. Avoiding costly mistakes was the name of Carrington's game during Sunday's charge as he didn't make a score over par on the 18 holes. Meanwhile, Huang played in the second-to-last group of the day off of hole 10, and nearly held his solo lead with three birdies on his back nine. However, two doubles meant a rollercoaster of a day for Huang, and he ended up tying with Carrington in first. The boys held wire-to-wire during their three hole playoff, which Carrington emerged victorious in.
Girls (16-18)
The girls were not to be outdone by the boys at this weekend's event. Each of the girls in the top five- Hall, Davis, Wang, Potash, and Yang- each posted one round under par. The Girls' Champion, Hall, saw a two-day score in the red at -1 over the course of the event. Hall and Davis, paired together on Sunday, traded birdies on their back nine, with Hall pulling through a 4 on the par-5 sixth hole to secure her one-stroke lead over Davis and par out the remainder of the nine.

Eligibility: Boys and Girls (16-18) (age calculated from the last day of the event)

Handicap: Florida GHIN 18.0 or less (included with junior membership)

Divisions and Approximate Yardages
- Boys (16-18) - 7,000 yards (gross only)
- Girls (16-18) - 6,000 yards (gross only)
How Entries are Accepted
- Players with an unused FJT exemption will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis (if submitted before the entry deadline)
- Players without an FJT exemption - All other entries are held until the entry closing date. Shortly after the closing date, a computer-generated random draw is performed to determine which entries are accepted, and the order of the alternates. All players are notified of their status after the random draw is conducted
- An alternates list will be posted to the FSGA website under "Tee Times & Player Information"
- Entries submitted after the entry deadline will be added to the bottom of the alternates list or used to fill any openings in the field

To enter, each player must create an FSGA account on this website (free to set-up), purchase a current Junior Membership ($45), and have an active Florida GHIN Handicap (included in membership if golfer does not already have one)

Late Entry Fee: A late fee of $10 will be applied to entries submitted after the close of entries date. The entry fee and late fee will only be applied if the player gets accepted in to the tournament field

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the tournament on a space-available basis
