Foray Golf: For Women, By Women

TAMPA, Fla. - Empower women and encourage participation in women's golf. This is what Megan LaMothe and the women behind the clothing brand, Foray Golf, set out to do when the company was founded in 2016. Now, three years later, the women's golf clothing line is doing just that on a global scale. 

"We are here to authentically support other women: in performance of the product, in the manufacturing of it, in the people we work with," LaMothe said. 

At this year's Florida Women's Open and Senior Open, all players that participate in the championship will receive a Foray Golf Sleeveless Polo as a tee gift.

A golfer herself, LaMothe spent five years as the director of design operation for Victoria Secret before entering into the golf industry. Coming from the world of lingerie, LaMothe was very familiar with designing products to fit women's bodies, and in her opinion, that was one thing that women's golf clothing was lacking. 

So Foray set out to do something different.

"We continue to push the agenda of supporting women in sports," LaMothe said. 

Their products feature Italian raw materials - the only company that uses this fabric in golf. The four-way stretch, wrinkle resistant Italian jersey is breathable, moisture wicking and quick drying, with UPF 50 sun protection. The polos that players will receive at the Florida Women's Open also feature a high-low shirttail hem, bonded button placket and a laser-cut center back logo. 

But the company doesn't just focus on function, it also aims to bring runway fashions to the golf course.

"Authenticity is so important, there is something for everyone. Translate it and make it relevant for golf. You should feel like you, you shouldn’t feel like your wearing a golf costume to play the sport," LaMothe said. 

Foray not only sets out to empower the women they are creating products for, but also to work and collaborate with woman. The company is woman-owned and operated, while also working with  female-owned production and embroidery companies. 

Quite simply, Foray Golf is a company made for women by women.
