2012 One-Day Season

December 14, 2011

The 2012 FSGA One-Day season will get under way this March. The schedule will feature 150 events through out the state at some of the best courses.

Some of the courses slated for the 2012 season include: TPC Sawgrass, Bay Hill, Loblolly, Innisbrook, Camp Creek, Ocean Hammock and many more!

Events take place during the weekdays and all events are shotgun starts. The cost includes golf, use of a motorized cart, range balls, and prizes.  Participants are allowed to create their own foursomes.  Each event will be 18 holes of individual net stroke play within flights, with players playing to 100% of their course handicap. New for the 2012 season will be more Stay and Play options set up at Florida’s premiere resorts, and women will be eligible to participate in all of the One-Days.

The One-Day events are open to amateur golfers (male or female), and there is no age limit.  Players will be grouped in one of five flights, “Gross”, “Under 50”, “50-64” “65 and Over or "Women.”  Players are required to have a FSGA/GHIN handicap of 24.0 or less.  However, golfers who do not have a FSGA/GHIN handicap index may compete after they obtain a handicap online for $30.  At each event gift certificates will be awarded to the top finishers in each flight.  Players without an established handicap will be eligible to compete, but not for prizes.
