  1. FORMAT: 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. The field will be re-paired after the first round. Teams consist of one player at least 55 years of age, and the other player must be 25-54 years of age as of March 27, 2010.

 

  1. TEE TIMES: Will begin at 11:00 AM off the 1st tee, on Saturday and Sunday.

 

  1. PRACTICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available one week prior to the event.  Practice rounds are restricted to after 12:00 PM.  The cost of the practice round is $50.00 plus tax.  Please call (941) 309-2900 to reserve a time for your practice round. The place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range.  Hitting multiple balls on the golf course is unacceptable.

 

  1. COURSE SET-UP:  The golf course will be set-up approximately 6700-6900 yards for the Mid-Amateurs and 6300-6500 yards for the Senior Amateurs.

From I-75 take exit 217 (SR 70) toward Arcadia. Head East on SR 70 for 4.2 mi.

Turn right at Lorraine Rd. for 1.2 mi. Turn left on 70th Terrace East and continue to club entrance.

  1. GPS AND RANGE FINDERS ALLOWED: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.”  The club is set up to use Laser Link, Sky caddie. 

 

9.      FLIGHTS:  After 18 holes. The number of flights will be based on the number of teams and/or the range of scores.

 

  1. SPECTATORS AND CADDIES: Spectators and caddies are always welcome at FSGA Championships. Only players are allowed to ride in carts.  If a player employs a caddie, the caddie MUST walk and the player’s clubs must remain on the golf cart.

 

  1. SCORECARDS: Only one of the partners per team need sign the score card and each score to count must be individually identifiable.  See Rule 31–3.
