TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

 

1.               FORMAT: 36 holes four-ball stroke play. We will re-pair and flight after the first round. One player needs to be over 55 years of age, and the other player needs to be 25-54 years of age as of April 24, 2004.

 

2.               ROUND TWO STARTING TIME:  Round two will be an 8:30 am shotgun.

 

3.               COURSE SET- UP: The golf course will be set-up approximately 6800 - 6900 yards for the mid-amateurs and 6500 -6600 yards for the senior amateurs.

 

4.               DIRECTIONS TO THE RIVERWOOD GOLF CLUB:

 

From the North: Take I-75 South to exit #179.  Turn right (West) onto Toledo Blade Blvd.  Travel on Toledo Blade Blvd for approximately five miles and turn right at the second stop light onto CR 776.  The Riverwood Golf Club is three miles on the right.

 

From the South: Take I-75 North to exit #179. Turn left (West) onto Toledo Blade Blvd.  Travel on Toledo Blade Blvd for approximately five miles and turn right at the second stop light onto CR 776.  The Riverwood Golf Club is three miles on the right

 

5.               ACCOMMODATIONS: Two arrangements have been made for the Junior-Senior Championship. The first is the Hampton Inn and the cost is $69.00 per night.  Call (941) 627-5600 for reservations.  Next, the Holiday Inn Express is also $69.00 per night.  Call (941) 764-0056 for reservations.  Please identify yourself as an FSGA competitor at each site for reservations.

 

6.               REGISTRATION TABLE: There will be a registration table set up in front of the pro shop. All contestants are requested to check in.

 

7.               PRATICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available one week prior to the event on a space available basis.  The cost of the practice round is $28.00 plus tax. Please call (941) 764-6661 to reserve a time for your practice round. Players may call one week in advance to make a practice round.  The place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range.  Hitting multiple balls on the golf course is unacceptable.

 

8.               PAYMENT: The   Riverwood Golf Club accepts Cash and Visa/MasterCard for method of payment.

 

9.               SCORE CARDS: Rule 31–4 will strictly be enforced. See example on the reverse side.
