The South West Florida Junior Golf Association is a non-profit organization that has been providing tournament golf for developing players since 1974. All of our summer tournaments are flighted based on player’s ability. Our goal is to provide juniors with the opportunity to play golf under tournament conditions at outstanding area courses while learning the Rules of Golf, building individual character, integrity, sportsmanship and meeting new friends.
The SWFJGA summer program consists of 8 tournaments starting the first week after the end of the school year. We offer a 9-hole tournament series for players ages 8-12 and a 9-hole development tour for players ages 13-18; these are played on local executive courses. The 13-18 year olds play 18-hole events at various golf courses throughout Lee and Collier counties and yardages are set based on the level of play and age. Our tournaments take place on Mondays and usually start with an 8:30 shotgun.
