One of the challenges for professional and amateur golfers residing in Florida is that most of the major tournaments are held during the summer and many of these players head up north during that time. The FSGA and SFPGA are conducting a test in 2016 in hopes of giving some more players an opportunity to qualify for the Florida Senior Open. A qualifier will be held on March 7th in the Port St. Lucie area (see details below). The remaining qualifiers will be held on their normal dates in July and early August.
