Florida Open Entries are In

Over 900 Entries Received!!

The Florida State Golf Association has received over 900 entries for the Florida Open!  The Championship is being conducted at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club, Bradenton and Sara Bay Country Club, July 20-22.  Entries are comprised of both professional and amateur golfers around the state of Florida, and include 31 exempt players. Qualifying rounds begin June 25th and run until July 9th.

The Championship format is fifty-four holes of individual stroke play. All players will play eighteen holes at both the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club and Sara Bay Country Club on Friday, July 20th and Saturday, July 21st.  The field will be cut to the low sixty and ties after thirty-six holes.  The final eighteen holes will be played at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club on Sunday, July 22nd.  The lowest score for 54 holes will be the Champion.  The defending Champion, Rod Perry of Port Orange, won the 2011 Florida Open Championship shooting a 68-69-69--206 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto.
