Family Victories at Parent Child
The Parent-Child Championship has become an annual event for many families. The tournament is open to everyone, including grandparents who want to play with a grandchild and professionals who want to compete with their child or grandchild. There is no maximum age limitation for the parent or child. The event consists of two divisions; junior and regular. In the junior division, the child must be between 6-12 years of age, and in the regular division the child must be 13 or older.
The regular divisions were split on the Palm, Magnolia, and Lake Buena Vista courses, as well as Grand Cypress Golf Club (North and South). These teams played 36 holes of modified alternate shot.
In the 34 and older division, Gary and Andrew Saft captured the win by two strokes after two impressive rounds of 66, 132 total (-12). Len and Leonard Schonfeld tied 2015 31 and older Champions, Charles and Michael Kovaleski, for second place with a 134 total (-10). In fourth place alone finished Michael and Michael Craig Brown who posted rounds of 65-73—138. The 34 and older teams started the tournament on the Magnolia Course and finished on the Palm Course.

Michael Schlager is a professional and is not eligible for prizes but can celebrate shooting the low total of the division. David and Austin Witt finished third with steady rounds of 71-72-143 (-1). Lake Buena Vista was conquered first by this division followed by Grand Cypress.
