It was a weekend full of firsts at Sandridge Golf Club with the first Florida Junior Tour event back in full swing after the summer and two first time Champions crowned. Following round one, Lily Celentano, of Weston, fired a one over par, 73 to stand in solo first heading into the second round. Just one stroke behind Celentano was Lisa Marie Rudometkin, of Wesley Chapel.

Sandridge Golf Club's difficult track got the best of the leaders during Sunday''s final round, allowing steady golf from eleven-year-old Chloe Kovelesky, of Boca Raton, to capture her first Florida Junior Tour win. Chloe finished the event 78-76--154 to win by one stroke over Caroline Patterson, of Jupiter, and Lisa Marie Rudometkin.

Boys 13-15 Divison

Out of the entire field, there was only one under-par round after Saturday, Tiago Barni, of Windermere, fired a 71 to take the lead by one stroke over Leo Goosen, also from Windermere. The remaining top of the leaderboard was tightly packed, with Gabriel Hegerstrom and Keoni Martin tied for third, firing 73s. Gabriel Hegerstrom, a first time Florida Junior Tour participant from Parkland, came back hot on Sunday, carding a 71 to shoot even par for the weekend and capture his first FJT victory by four strokes.
