Girls 16-18 Division

Nearly every girl was able to finish their round on Saturday before lightning ended the day, with one group putting out on their 18th hole and another waiting in the fairway to play.  Throughout all of the weather delays, this summer's Girls Junior Champion, Chloe Schiavone, was able to grind out an even par round of 72.  Nipping at her heels were a group of three girls after opening 75's.  Maria Beatriz Arizaga, Madison Hewlett and Ariel Yu were just three strokes back going into Sunday.  It would be a similarly close finish on Sunday as Maria closed with the low round of the tournament for the girls.  Her one under, 71 provided very little breathing room for Chloe.  Up to the challenge, however, Chloe would finish with a 73, and a one stroke victory.

Boys 16-18 Division

The boys were not quite as lucky as the girls on Saturday evening, as a number of them had several holes to finish on Sunday morning.  This meant for a long day for a host of players.  Unfazed by the extra holes, this summer's Boys' Junior champion, Tyler Wilkes, would finish the first round with a birdie and an even par, 72.  On his way to his fourth FJT victory, Wilkes was six under in his final ten holes.  His closing 68 left him at four under par.  Providing excitement throughout the day on Sunday, Austin Cherichella carded an astonishing 8 birdies to close with a 68 as well.  Finally, the low round of the tournament came as Drew Angelo made 7 birdies for a 67.
