Shin & Holman Post Winning Red Numbers

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Skylee Shin and Angelica Holman carded two under-par rounds to secure Florida Junior Tour victories at LPGA International on Sunday.

Girls 13-15

Angelica Holman, of Fort Pierce, showed exceptional improvement earning her first Florida Junior Tour win with two consistent rounds of 71. Holman posted three birdies in both round one and two en route to her two-stroke victory and only under-par finish of 142 (-2) in the 13-15 division. Jacksonville resident, Kaitlyn Schroeder, continued her great play, after winning the last 13-15 FJT event, by finishing in second place. Kaitlyn posted two rounds of 72 to finish at even par 144 and one stroke ahead of Kavya Ajjarapu, of Lutz, in third place. Kavya posted a red number 71 in round one, followed by a 74 in the final round to finish at 145 (+1). 

Girls 16-18

A wire-to-wire victory was achieved by Skylee Shin, of Doral, due to posting two red numbers! Skylee earned her first win of 2019 after winning for the first time in May of 2018 at the 54-Hole Major hosted by Trump National Doral.  Six birdies in round one led to a 68 (-4) and early lead over a field of tough competition. In the final round, Skylee carded two birdies on the front nine and one birdie on the final nine holes to secure the win at 139 (-5). One stroke behind, finished Lisa Marie Rudometkin, of Wesley Chapel, in second place. Rudometkin shot two strokes better in round two, due to scoring two birdies on each the front and back nine for a 69 total and 140 (-4) final. A tight leaderboard saw Cynthia Tu, of Viena, VA, finish in third place at 141 (-3), two strokes from the lead.
