The 2018 Girls’ Junior champion, Chloe Schiavone fired a 3-under 69 in the second round. The Jacksonville native carded a bogey-free front nine with three birdies to finish the day in a tie for second in the 16-18 Division with Casey Weidenfeld.

Last year’s 13-15 champion, Kaitlyn Schroeder finished birdie-par to post a second-round 71 and move into second place at even-par in the 13-15 Division.

A total of 46 players made the cut at 17-over in the 16-18 Division, while 25 players made the cut at 15-over in the 13-15 Division.

Quotable

"It felt like a small comeback after the front nine. I was hitting it pretty solid. I hit the green on the par-5 and almost made an eagle. It all came together and I played better golf.” – Fischer on her bogey-free back nine

“Bradenton is a great course. I think everyone is going to have a lot of birdies tomorrow. I'll try to take it shot by shot and just play my game.” – Dong on Thursday’s final round

“In 2018, that was my first big win. So having to sleep on the lead each day was really tough for me. I think now, I'm just looking to have fun and try my best. Not force anything.” – Schiavone on how her 2018 Girls’ Junior win helps this week
