PLACIDA, Fla. – Elle Johnson fired a course-record 65 to claim victory at the Women’s Amateur Stroke Play Championship on Sunday at Coral Creek Club. Coral Creek Club served as the perfect host for the Women's Amateur Stoke Play with world class conditions from tee to green. The course offered an array of challenges from the rough, to the greens, proving an excellent test to crown a champion.

Johnson, a current student and member of the Florida State University women’s golf team, started the final round six shots off the lead but quickly dwindled the gap down after a spectacular front nine, 5-under 31. Her front nine consisted of five birdies and four pars. Johnson continued her spectacular play from the front nine with two more birdies and one lone bogey on the difficult 18th hole. Johnson's 65 was a course record round out at Coral Creek Club for women.

Jillian Bourdage took second place after her final-round 68, which moved her up two spots up the leaderboard. Bourdage, a current member of the Ohio State University women’s golf team, carded four birdies and one bogey on her way to claim second place.

Jordan Fischer and Lauren Clark finished the final round in a tie-for-third place. Fischer’s championship consisted of rounds of 69-69-74, and Clark's championship rounds included scores of 70-73-69, while both finishing with a total of 212.
