Lecanto, Fla. - Black Diamond Ranch – Quarry Course has played host to the FSGA for a number of years and it is always a treat for our players to be out here. Despite the overnight suspension of Round 1, the conditions on both days allowed those competing to attack hole locations with the hope of scoring low. But at the end of the tournament, two players, Trevor Tingle & Angelina Pacheco, had done so better than the rest as they would leave Lecanto with trophies.
Boys (16-18)
Tough weather conditions plagued the field on Saturday. Play was suspended at 4:30 PM and after a two hour delay play was suspended for the day. After an early morning resumption of Round 1 the leaderboard in the Boys Division was overflowing with players who put themselves within just shots of our leader. After completing Round 1 Nicklaus Downing held a two-shot lead after posting a three-under par, 69. Three others Wyle Inman, Spencer Ives and Gabriel Prisciandaro were able to post under par rounds with rounds of one-under, 71. With a tightly packed leader board Sunday’s afternoon is going to come down to who can battle through the elements to come out on top.
In the second round, the leaderboard continued to fill up at the top with many players looking to capitalize on their positions. Trevor Tingle got off to a hot start making a birdie and an eagle in his first five holes to move up the leaderboard. Another player in prime position and looking for his opportunity was Gabriel Prisciandaro. Prisciandaro would post a solid weekend with a two-under par 142 to finish in solo second. Finishing in solo third was Wylie Inman with a two day total of one-under par 143. Tingle was able to secure the title after a spectacular final round boasting four birdies and an eagle for a five-under par, 67.
Girls (16-18)
The First round took nearly 24hrs to complete with the long weather delay that pushed the First round into Sunday morning. The entire field needed to go out and restart in position in order to complete their first round. After the first Round Angelina Pacheco would take a two shot lead into Sunday afternoons Final round. Rounding out the top three was Dannika Hines and Addy Voght after rounds of 73 and 74 respectively. Sunday’s Final round weather would not give anyone an edge with rain all day.

Pacheco would battle through the tough conditions and play a steady round of even par, 72, carding two birdies and just two bogeys.
