Explore the Host Course

Bradenton Country Club is home to an award-winning Donald Ross design that has stood the test of time. Originally built in 1924, the course was thoughtfully restored in 1999 by renowned architect Ron Garl, preserving Ross’s classic layout while enhancing playability for the modern game. In 2018, further renovations were led by World Golf Hall of Famer Tony Jacklin, CBE.

Voted Best Private Golf Course in Manatee County by The Bradenton Herald’s People’s Choice Awards, the club has become a premier venue for high-level competitive golf. It played host to the 2025 LPGA Founders Cup, welcoming the game’s best female professionals. Bradenton CC has also served as the site for numerous FSGA and USGA championships and qualifiers, including the 2023 Florida Mid-Amateur Championship and the 76th Florida Open Championship in 2022.

Featured Friday Matchups

This year’s field features a strong mix of younger and senior talent, with every team eyeing a spot at the top of the leaderboard. Returning to defend their title are Ty Capps and Tyler Gulliksen, who put on a dominant display last year with a staggering 24-under-par finish. They'll begin their title defense at 9:30 AM off tee #1, paired with Steve Albright and Jimmy Letterly. Albright and Letterly are the reigning Forty & Over Four-Ball (North) Champions, who enter the championship in excellent form.

Among the standout teams are two family duos: Jon & Alex Veneziano and Steven & Justin Ross. Both father-son teams bring chemistry and experience to the course. Jon Veneziano, the 2013 Amateur Player of the Year,  two-time Mid-Amateur Champion, and a number of other feats, teams up with his son Alex, while Justin Ross, the 2019 Boys’ Junior Champion, partners again with his father Steven. The Ross duo recently captured the 2024 Parent-Child Championship with an impressive 11-under 133. They’ll tee off at 8:10 AM from tee #1 in an always exciting father/son showdown.

The youngest competitors in the field will take center stage at 8:30 AM off tee #1. Henry Robards and Nolan Harper, both collegiate golfers at Mercer University and Florida Gulf Coast University respectively, will be joined by the Severs brothers. Preston Severs plays for the University of West Florida, and Parker, a member of the University of Florida golf team. These young players bring talent and energy to a championship defined by its broad age range.
