
NAPLES, Fla. – The second round saw alot of movement up and down the leaderboard. The leaderboard is packed with a lot of great players looking for the title. Tiger Godwin made the biggest move of the day to get into a share of the lead with Chad Ibbotson ahead of Sunday's final round.
What Happened
In the morning, Chad Ibbotson started with a two shot lead and came out of the gates with a birdie on the 2nd hole. A hiccup on the 3rd hole, brought a lot of players back into the mix, including Tiger Godwin who birdied four holes in a row to get in a share of the lead. Ibbotson settled down and made birdies on six, seven and ten to get back to even par for the day while Godwin continued making birdies on 13 and 15. Tiger Godwin would finish with a 5-under 67 on moving day and Chad Ibbotson would join him at 6-under for the Championship as the two share the lead heading into Sunday's final round.
What’s Next
The cut fell to twelve over par today as it was cut to the low 60 players and ties. The remaining competitors will play 18 holes in an 8:30 AM shotgun tomorrow at The Rookery at Marco and a Champion will emerge to claim the 2025 Forty & Over Championship.
