Déjà Vu Victory: Finster & Keenan Repeat at Senior Four-Ball

September 17, 2025

ST. JOHN’S, Fla. – For the second year in a row, and in strikingly similar fashion, Mike Finster and Brian Keenan claimed the Senior Four-Ball Championship. The duo fired a final round 62 (-10), the lowest round of the tournament, to clinch the title. Their two-day total of 66-62--128  matched last year’s winning score (16-under), once again earning them a five-shot victory.

This year’s championship was contested at Stillwater Golf & Country Club, and gave the gentleman their first breath of fall with an early breeze paired with firm and fast greens. After round one, Finster and Keenan sat in solo third thanks to a steady 66 (-6) that featured six birdies, leaving them just one shy of the two duos who held the overnight lead: Don Whittemore & Pete Williams and Ben Finley & James Weick. Finley & Weick posted nine birdies and two bogeys en route to an opening 65 (-7) and held the lead most of the day. Whittemore & Williams also posted nine birdies, including a closing one on the 18th hole to tie the overnight lead.

As the second round got underway, Finster and Keenan came out with vengeance and a strong will to capture the title for the second year in a row. They birdied the opening hole, then rattled off three straight birdies from holes three through five. Another birdie on the front nine and five more after the turn put the duo comfortably ahead, sealing back-to-back victories at 16-under total.

Chad Ibbotson & Chad Frank fired rounds of 67-66--133 and finished in a tie for second with the team of Finley & Weick who had rounds of 65-68-133.  The three time champions and round one overnight leaders, Don Whittemore & Pete Williams, had rounds of 65-69--134 to finish in a tie for fourth place with Thomas Lowe & Steve Humphrey and William Mallon & Bobby Bird.
